Landfill gas power generation is a specific area of Yellow Power Ltd’s expertise, with key members of our staff being involved in the industry for over 20 years.

The decomposition of organic matter within a site produces a high calorific gas containing Methane, Carbon Dioxide and Nitrogen. Careful management of liquid levels and subsequent extraction from the ground of this fuel is now established technology and proven to be commercially very attractive to gas engine operators. landfill generators are now hardened to the varying methane content and contaminants found in this fuel, and will perform reliably with efficiencies near that of natural gas engines, with service intervals and oil changes all fine-tuned to suit individual sites and conditions.

We have considerable experience in this industry, Yellow Power Ltd have been successfully involved in many landfill gas projects, relocating generators, modifying fuel and control systems, packaging of both new and used units here in the UK and overseas.
