Standby Generators

Standby Generators are designed to provide power in the event of a mains failure and are used where there is a risk to life, economic loss or they are maybe a requirement of local law. They are designed for maximum reliability, high load acceptance, and are used in applications such as Hospitals, Airports, Data Centres, uninterruptable Industrial processes and Emergency applications.

The emergency standby power (ESP) rating of a generator is the maximum amount of power that it is able to deliver and is generally utilised to support variable load for a short period of time due to a utility outage. ISO-8528-1 limits the average load factor in a 24 hour period to 70% of the manufacturer’s full nameplate rating (except where a manufacturer may allow a higher load factor) generally, emergency standby power generators will run for between 50 to 200 hours per annum.

Yellow Power Ltd offer a range of standby generator units capable of 5kVA to 4.0MVA in output, precisely selected and matched to your requirements along with specifically matched balance of plant backed up by our wealth of experience and advice.
